Catching up....finally

Wow, I haven’t posted in a LONG time. Hell, the blog wasn’t even functional for about 3 months. Ok,.. so quick catch up:

I am… single… sorta. (love you Nancy)

Work… kicks ass. Coming along a lot faster and everyone is full steam ahead.

GTA IV… pwns.

My side web projects are getting some attention out of the blue.

My hair… is long.

My cats… rule.

Dad gave me his old guitar for my Bday. I am really loving it. Thanks Dad.

My hunter in WoW is 66. You’ve come a long way baby.

My room is still a mess.

I took the hard top off the Jeep.

Lisa is one cool chick.

I joined the local Marine Corps League last week. YYUUUT!

That’s really it. Seriously. Work, work and more work. LAST thing, which is really important, is that I’ve decided to start walking to work. This is for two reason. One, I can’t stand paying these high prices. Two, I find jogging around the lake kinda boring in the morning. The gas price is a whole blog on its own, but I’ve made a pledge to not make these price setting motherfuckers any wealthier. You’re nor getting this llamas money. No sir. Yes, I still have my V6, 4 liter monster of a Jeep, however it will only be taken out on the weekends. Get more exercise and stop contributing to global oil demand. Sounds good. Only thing, is that work is about 3 miles away, so I gotta do this every day.

6 am – Wake up
7 am – Be on the road
8 am – Arrive at work
5 pm – Leave work
5:30 – Swim/weights at YMCA
7 – Walk home
8 – Eat dinner
12 – Sleep

I’m also brining my lunch to work, so I don’t have to drive anywhere. Will also save a ton of money. Seems like a growing trend at work and one that I am welcoming.

That’s really it.

Hope everything is well with all of my friends and family. Things are going well. Life is good. Llama is happy.

p.s. I will have this song down by the end of the summer. Voice is down, now just gotta get the second part of the cords.

Inspirational thinking at 2:54 am

While listening to music,... just fell into an inspirational mood... and began to type...

Don’t dwell on the past
It will never change, no matter how much you want it to. Past relationships will come back if they were meant to be. Mistakes make you stronger. Pain and loss, make you focus on your goals and realize what is truly important. Life isn’t perfect and shouldn’t be. At times it hurts, however only the strong keep fighting… without looking back. Its fine to remember and regret, but don’t dwell… look to the future.

Don’t give time to people who don’t give time to you
This goes for colleagues, friends and especially lovers. Great relationships are built by giving and taking at a somewhat equal manner. You can never force someone to think of you and or especially love you. Move on. Many more people out there and they WILL appreciate you, for you. Believe me, when you find it, its amazing.

Don’t let society classify you as a secondary citizen or let others speak for you, even if you are the same skin color
While in school, I would hear “well, we’re minorities, we SHOULD get more help”. It takes a strong man to ask for help, but a weak one to expect it based on the color of their skin. With that mentality, you just classified yourself as a secondary citizen, and you have given the world an excuse to look down on you. Don’t ever think like this. You are just as smart, talented and hard working as anyone if you apply yourself. If you don’t know the answer, seek help, but don’t let outside influences help you to excuse yourself as a secondary citizen. You are second to no one, even if you need help. Everyone at one time or another needs help, whether they admit or not. Yes, some minorities have had a harder road, but that makes the success and accomplishment all that much sweeter. You can go two roads… blame your skin color for your problems and let the world help classify you as a secondary citizen… OR you can hold you head up high, work harder and make your own stake in this world.

Don’t be afraid to take chances
This goes out for the college and young professional crowd, but can apply to any age. Life as a whole is a huge chance. You are here by chance… a one shot in a million chance. Don’t waste it by being conservative and sticking to same path. To your left and right, there will be people that do that, so take the road less traveled if you wish. This is probably the hardest to do, especially when most of your peers are taking the safe road. Screw it, they aren’t living your life and if they criticize you, they aren’t a true friend. The only tragedy to rival wasted talent, is wasted opportunity.

Think for and take charge of yourself
To expand on the last point, no one lives your life but you. Regardless of class, religion, race or sexual orientation, you are ultimately the only one who really controls what happens to you. I’ll say it again, you are in charge of your own destiny. If you don’t like where you are in life, don’t bitch about it…stop complaining and do something proactive about it. No one cares about you as much as you should care about yourself. Other people don’t have to look at your face in the mirror. If you have nothing else in this world, have your word and honesty. No one can take that away. They can’t limit your desire to succeed unless you LET them. I don’t give a damn who you are or where you came from, if you want it enough and work hard, you will achieve it. Excuses are everywhere you look. No one cares and they won’t give you anything without you taking the first step. Take charge and take control.

Man, that felt good.

“Don’t be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own
Love will open every door, it’s in your hands, the world is yours
Don’t hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar”

Switching over...

So I've decided to switch over from Wordpress to Blogger. Why? Well, I just want to be part of a bigger blog community and never have to update my Wordpress again. I will bring over some of the better and substantial posts, but for the most part, this will be a new venture. The gallery, well... I'm going to either choose Flickr or Picasa for that. After looking at Live Journal, Wordpress Pro and several others, I really found the integration, options, plugins and tools of Blogger the best. I hope I'm not disappointed.

Thats it for about now. Oh yeah, btw... some asshat got southfarmllama.blogspot.com to spite me. Oh well, I have the domain. Ha. I'm fine with seheart.blogspot.com.
